Hi Ken!

I just wanted to let you know how much I love my new piano. I wanted to call you yesterday to tell you, but I was overcome with emotion. As I sat there with my son, helping him practice his “Mary Had a Little Lamb”, I was flooded with memories of my own childhood that I had long forgotten: learning Every Good Boy Does Fine, being amazed at “Heart and Soul”, and thinking the sustain pedal was the coolest thing ever. My eyes watered with joy as I realized I was passing on my love for piano that my mom had instilled within me at an early age.

And it is the perfect size! When placed next to the bigger baby grands in your warehouse, it had looked a bit small to me, but it is actually the perfect size for my living room, allowing for plenty of seating for listeners.

Thanks again, the feeling I got yesterday from playing my piano was like a time capsule to my youth. Priceless.

As promised, here is the piano teacher, Ken Trujillo’s, contact information.

I had my first piano lesson last night from 7:15 to 9:00. It was fantastic. Ken has developed an 8 week introductory course to the piano that is very effective in getting you to learn to read music and play with both hands. I have no doubt it is going to work for me. His training regimen flows very logically. That course is the first of a series of training programs he has developed. He has it all very organized with notebooks for every lesson, CDs with the practice samples, and a classroom training program that he has developed over 30 years.

Ken does the training in groups of up to six at his training facility out by the Chatfield Reservoir. There were five in our group; there is a space left over for, perhaps, you. The facility has a number of pianos organized in a room facing a whiteboard and large computer monitor, video screens on every piano, and a TV camera on the ceiling over his keyboard so you can watch his fingering and examples. I liked the organization of the training program, the visual technology, the group energy, and the lack of distractions.

You get plenty of time to practice on your own piano for the half-hour a day structured practice assignments he gives you. There is a new training notebook and CD each week you need to follow for the half-hour a day mandatory practice. He has a woman that follows up on your progress (cracks the whip I think) and is there to answer any questions. She is also an instructor trained in his technique.

I recommend Ken’s program.

I would be happy to express in writing what I’ve expressed already to others regarding our search for a piano. Our search for a piano that met our needs as a family brought us to many stores in the metro area but finally led us to Pianos n Pianos. We met with Ken Trujillo who spent the time to not only show us the pianos they had but, more importantly, listened to what we were looking for and introduced us to the right piano for us. He took the time to sit down and play the pianos we were interested in while explaining the history and features behind each so that the decision for us was a pleasant one. In the end, it was apparent the staff at Pianos n Pianos not only have a great passion for pianos but also for finding the right piano that best suited our immediate and long term needs. We are grateful for the time spent listening and sharing so that we could ultimately make the right decision on a piano that will stay with us in the foreseeable future.

You are welcome to use this testimonial however you’d like. We truly appreciate the time taken to make our buying experience truly enjoyable.

Hi, and thank you for inviting me to take the next set of piano classes...

I loved the first set of group classes, and I have found that I do not practice on my own like I did when I was in class, so I have not learned anything new since then. The creative way that you teach has been very helpful and I don’t want to lose what you taught us.

We put our Bergmann Queen Ann Oak piano on consignment due to the competitive consignment deal Pianos n Pianos offered. Ken was always helpful with all our queries and communicated with us at all times even though we moved to Australia before the piano sold. Pianos n Pianos got top price and were able to arrange payment promptly.

I believe I was only 8 when my mother took me to piano lessons. During a couple of months and many Hanon exercises, I had to stop since my mom could not drive me to class anymore. It took me 30 years to continue my dream. At first I was scared at the daunting task of starting piano after so long but I’m so happy I did it! Pianos n’ Pianos method has allowed me to see results well before I expected; the logical progression of challenging exercises has helped me to play melodies only after a few months. I have not only discovered a new world but it has also given me something I look forward to every day. I wish I had not waited so long!

Thank you again for the information. I am LOVING my piano and feel that I’m picking up on my skills quicker than I thought I would. It truly helps to have such a wonderful instrument though. I seriously find that my hands do not ache as much on this piano than others I have played. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We consigned our Yamaha Disklavier with Pianos n’ Pianos and were totally pleased with the quality of the service. Ken told us what price we could expect and how long it would take to sell and he was right on the mark. His studio is an excellent place to show pianos for sale with all the people that come to take lessons as well as those looking to buy.

I would recommend Ken at Pianos n’ Pianos whether you are selling or buying a piano.

Consigners: I had tried unsuccessfully for nearly a year to sell my piano via online advertising, local music association newsletters, and flyers at music studios and local schools. I had also contacted the leading piano retailers in Denver to inquire about consignment, only to discover that they wanted more than 30 percent of the proceeds, meaning I would net much less than I was willing to take in parting with my 6′ 4″ grand piano.

Fortunately, I learned about Pianos n’ pianos from a friend and contacted Ken Trujillo. His consignment fee seemed very fair, I liked his appraisal, and I was impressed by his facility, so I signed an agreement for a 90-day period. I was very pleased when the piano sold in less than 60 days and was satisfied with the check that I received. I would highly recommend Pianos n’ pianos to anyone trying to sell a piano.
